Upon arrival, customers will meet the VOLTA4u shuttle bus on the right side, outside of exit No.5 “Shuttle bus area”; At the check-out, the station team will inform the customer of the direction to return the car, see coordinates for VOLTA4u Athens airport station 37.9181 23.9209. Upon return to the station, customers will be transferred with the VOLTA4u shuttle bus to the departures The distance with the shuttle bus from Athens apt to VOLTA4u Athens apt station is a 4’ drive.

Towards any countries, taking rental cars crossing border is not allowed.

Driving the vehicle onto a ferry or to any island is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from the car rental company. Currently, cross-island travel to Zakynthos is permitted. If you need to transport the vehicle by ferry, you must inform the car rental company in advance and pay a fee of EUR 50. If you fail to notify the car rental company in advance, a penalty of EUR 100 will apply. In the event of an accident on a ferry, the renter shall be liable for the full cost of any damage to the vehicle, as well as the cost of transporting the vehicle back to the original pickup location (the location where the renter first collected the vehicle).

If communication is difficult, you can use Google Translate. Greek drivers generally drive fast, but staying within your lane should prevent major issues. Remember to stop at red lights when turning right! It's important to understand right of way rules, and always stop at stop signs!! I'm still not completely clear on all the rules, so I observe how others drive, but being cautious is always a good idea. This time, we only stayed around Athens, especially near the coast, where the scenery is beautiful. I highly recommend renting a car. For refueling, check the fuel cap for the required type of fuel. Gas prices vary at different stations, and you can check prices on Google Maps. If you can't figure out self-service, just ask the station staff for help. We used Google Maps for navigation the entire trip, which was very convenient, avoiding toll roads and highways.
