Towards any countries, taking rental cars crossing border is not allowed.
Driving the vehicle onto a ferry or to any island is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from the car rental company. Currently, cross-island travel to Zakynthos is permitted. If you need to transport the vehicle by ferry, you must inform the car rental company in advance and pay a fee of EUR 50. If you fail to notify the car rental company in advance, a penalty of EUR 100 will apply. In the event of an accident on a ferry, the renter shall be liable for the full cost of any damage to the vehicle, as well as the cost of transporting the vehicle back to the original pickup location (the location where the renter first collected the vehicle).
