The only vehicles permitted to travel on unsealed roads are the following FFAR, KPGE, SFDR, PFAR, FFAM, SFBR, SFBD(SUV modles and PICKUP modles)and then ONLY if Unsealed Road Cover has been purchased. An unsealed road refers to a constructed or formed road that is not sealed with a hard material, such as tar, bitumen or concrete. Rental cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads.Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line unless Snow Cover has been purchased.Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water.     I had privilege of renting brand new car ( 35 miles on tachometer). Besides of 'no problem car', I specially appreciate most effective rent-desk of Europcar at Hobart International Airport - despite of them serving to several clients of arrived flights, and despite of us coming to the desk last, we were all sorted within just fractions of minutes, which is incredible. The same had happened at drop-off, when - while we were still around our car , sorting our own luggage - man from the Europcar was already with us and all was sorted with zero waiting time before we sorted even our own things. That was truly exceptional. Well done, Hobart Europcar!

    Customer service but slow when you just want to jump in the car and go. He did have issues with the printer. Clean car, good choice but issues with one tyre with a slow leak I think which I reported on returning the car. Signs for returning the car at Launceston airport need to be bigger and in more of them. There were 2 or 3 cars like us confused as to where to go.

    The car was below expectations. Not similar to a corolla. It was a European model with all controls on opposite side. It was not a well designed car for Tasmanian roads and did not handle smoothly on the windy roads. Having driven a Corolla for many years this car did not meet my expectations at all.

    The staff in Hobart were great and the digital systems worked extremely smoothly - great experience. There were no staff to drop the keys off to in Launceston and no instructions at the counter, we were advised where we could drop the keys by another companies agent.
