The Alamo - Exeter Airport car rental location is located out of the airport

Please contact the staff to pick you up to Alamo - Exeter Airport car rental when you arrived.

The rental branch is located just off-site next to long stay car park 3. It is approximately a 5 minute walk from the terminal building. On exiting the terminal, turn right out of the main exit doors and head south, following the pedestrian walkway. There will be a car park to your left and buildings to your right. Cross the road and continue to follow the pedestrian walkway. When you reach the main junction of the entrance to Exeter Airport, continue following the pedestrian walkway, bearing slightly right and head towards the T junction in front of you. On arrival at the T junction, you will see a large car park in front of you, Park 3, and to your left a smaller car park in which we are located.

Customers collecting a vehicle in Great Britain and planning to drive in the Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe must purchase European Travel Insurance (ETI). Customers without a UK driving licence may be subject to additional eligibility checks before rental. ETI includes written authorisation (VE103B form) to drive the vehicle in the permitted countries listed below, as well as 24/7 international roadside assistance provided by the AA. Customers must inform the rental location of any cross-border travel and obtain prior authorisation. The rental location must be notified at least 72 hours before vehicle collection to arrange ETI. ETI is available only to customers paying by credit card. It covers travel only in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. This applies to both the destination and any countries/territories travelled through. Premium, Luxury, and Executive vehicles are not covered by ETI and must not be taken outside the country/territory where they were rented. The ETI fee is £325.00 per rental for all cross-border travel. For rentals in Northern Ireland crossing into the Republic of Ireland only, the fee is £27.00.

    The car was lovely and the staff were really helpful at Exeter - making sure I was familiar with the key features. They advised where I can drop off at Heathrow and went through the 'paperwork' on the iPad. I didn't like the £2,000 excess on insurance which I was offered on the spot to take there and then - as the cost was almost as much as the daily hire cost - but waived it. That made the experience much more stressful - particularly in London - and I was grateful to drop the car back without a hitch.
