For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Original Driver's License + IDP( issued under the 1949 Convention)

Only IDP issued under the 1949 Convention will be accepted. An IDP issued under the Paris Convention (1926), Washington Convention (1943) and Vienna Convention (1968) will not be accepted!

Taiwan Driving License in China + Japan Translation

For customers with driver\'s licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Slovenia, Monaco and Taiwan are allowed to drive vehicles only when they carry both the original license issued in the above countries/regions and a Japanese Translation of such issued by JAF, or foreign embassies or consular offices in Japan.

For local renters, you need to bring:

Full Driving License issued in Japan

This option applies to customers with local driving license, please show your local license at pick-up.
