The rental office is located outside the terminal. After exiting, turn right and walk along the road for approximately 200 meters. You will reach the Car Rental Zone, where all rental companies are located.

Drop-off Instructions

Please return the vehicle to the VIP Car Park near the terminal. It is recommended to use the following coordinates as your navigation destination: Coordinates: 37.47103523056643, 15.069078868615243 You will see a large billboard displaying various rental company logos and the words "Car Rental Return" as you approach the car park. Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 3 year(s).

Habíamos reservado un coche a recoger en el aeropuerto de Catania. Al llegar al mostrador, había una cola tremenda y, aún teniendo la reserva, tuvimos que coger "número" para ser atendidos. Preguntamos por nuestro turno al staff de SilicyByCar y contestaron con burla "see you tomorrow"... Finalmente, tras esperar durante 3,5h y más de 80 turnos, pudimos coger el coche. Respecto al coche, excelente, nuevo y limpio. El drop off del coche, en otro mostrador que el de recogida, fue fácil y rápido.

The collection took about 90 minutes, just to get through the queue - for which you had to take a ticket to reserve your place - although this was not immediately obvious. There must be a simpler and more efficient way in which to book people into cars than the systems used here - it took about 20 minutes per car - horrendous!

Car is reasonable and as expected, but pick up location is in a separate building next to the terminal nut not mentioned on the booking contract, this should be improved. It may not necessary to get full protection from web since the car rental will sell you additional insurance and you don't need to claim the excess. Further, the renter full coverage is essential for driving in Sicily.

The price of hire was expensive compared to renting in other places. Maybe the Sicilians are too greedy. Pick-up was a farce: it took two and a half hours! Never before have I had such a disagreeable experience. Too many people, too few staff, and on that basis alone I would be reluctant to use Sicily By Car again. This must be better in the future.

Quick and efficient. They do promote insurance, but if you say no, they respect your choice without any hassle. There's no need to stick to rental companies inside the airport terminal, as this limits your options. Many rental companies are just a few minutes' walk from the airport, so you can choose those with better reviews and a wider range of vehicles.
