I booked a Renault compact car, but the rental company provided a 2025 Toyota CHR EV that hasn't even been released in the domestic market yet. The car had only been driven a bit over 13,000 kilometers, practically brand new. A full tank of gas got us from Nice to Lyon via Avignon. French highways are very easy to drive on, though the toll fees are outrageously high.

Very satisfied. Picking up the car in Nice was quick and simple. The car was in good condition, clean and well-maintained.
