Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is only a translation. You must present your original driving licence together with the original IDP at the counter — photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted.

Original South Korea Driving License (English version)

An English translation must be provided on the back of the driver's license.

Original driving licence + NAATI Translation

The translation of the driver's license certified by the Australian Translation and Accreditation Institute (NAATI) can be used to rent a car and drive in Australia.

If you are a local renter, you may be required to present a utility bill within 3 months for checking.

The only vehicles permitted to travel on unsealed roads are the following FFAR, KPGE, SFDR, PFAR, FFAM, SFBR, SFBD(SUV modles and PICKUP modles)and then ONLY if Unsealed Road Cover has been purchased. An unsealed road refers to a constructed or formed road that is not sealed with a hard material, such as tar, bitumen or concrete. Rental cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads.Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line unless Snow Cover has been purchased.Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. Europcar were good, although I was charged an international money transfer fee which I don't recall being in the contract. The vehicle was new, but a software glitch produced an airbag warning sign on the dashboard. The car itself was very basic and Mitsubishi really need to upgrade their "clunker" engines.

Waited well over 4 hours upon pick up. Customer Service was very bad from the get go , very rude . Had no customer service skills what so ever , refused to listen to us . It wasn't until my daughter rang head office and a new customer representative started their shift that things finally started progressing.

It was a little difficult to contact staff. Left messages but did not return call. Had to go to the terminal and find Europcar counter. A lady from next door hire company had to look around the back and told us staff were there and would be out shortly. The customer service girl was very nice and friendly and completed our booking.

Le service a été très lent et long. De plus, on nous a chargé deux jours au lieu de 1. La réservation était pour 9h00 am mais notre avion est arrivée tôt. On nous a donné l'auto vers 8:35 am mais on ne nous a pas dit de retourner pour avant 8h35. Nous avons retourné l'auto à 8:40am le lendemain. Et malgré tout, u e charge de 2 jours. Un vrai vol. De plus, nous sommes retournés au comptoir pour discuter de la situation et la personne ne voulait même pas nous parler et a manqué de respect. Aucun changement ni remboursement. Europcar, c'est fini et nous ne recommanderons jamais.
