Super easy process, super quick customer service, and really fast support even in other locations. The staff were efficient too, and they gave us a brand-new car with just 28 km on it.

You can just book the cheapest option on the platform and then add the rental company’s own insurance at the counter – it makes claims and coverage much easier to deal with.

By the time I got to the rental office it was already getting dark and there were barely any customers. After finishing the paperwork, I went to the parking lot on my own to pick up the car. Hand‑over was straightforward: we checked the car and I drove off right away. The CARWIZ guy on site was pretty thorough and really inspected the car carefully, so make sure you take plenty of photos and videos yourself too. Malta drives on the right-hand side, so take it slow at first until you get used to it.

From Belgrade Old Town, we took the free bus No.16 to New Belgrade and it was super easy to find the rental office. We’d booked online in advance, so the pick-up process was smooth and fast and we were on the road in no time. The car was a new 208, very easy to handle and drove beautifully the whole way. There were two of us, and the trunk fit two suitcases (24" and 26") perfectly. Since the location is outside the Old Town, you avoid most of the traffic and can get onto the expressway out of the city very quickly. If you’re driving across borders, make sure to apply online in advance so they can prepare the green cross-border insurance – with that, border checks were completely hassle-free.

Because I was in email contact with the area manager, the tire pressure issue was handled quickly and properly. But if you don’t get in touch with that manager, the staff’s responses and the way they deal with problems really hurts the overall rental experience.

Overall really happy with the experience. The deposit was refunded just one day after returning the car. I accidentally booked a manual but they gave me an automatic, which was great. The only downside was being charged €36 for Hungarian highway tolls over 12 days—most rental companies usually include domestic highway fees in the price.
