Picking up in downtown Auckland and dropping off at the airport was really convenient. The RAV4 had plenty of space, handled New Zealand roads well, was clean, and ran without any issues. The paperwork was quick and easy, and the whole experience was great—I'll definitely go with them again next time!

They were a bit short-staffed, so after finishing the paperwork I had to walk over and get the car myself. Luckily there was someone in the lot who walked me through all the controls and features one by one.

There’s only one counter, so the line moves really slowly and you end up waiting a long time.

Pretty good overall, but we hit a kangaroo and had to pay upfront for the damages. The claim is still being processed.

Processing was really fast and super convenient. They share a counter with Hertz, so you see the big brand signage. I think this is more like a sub-brand with cheaper prices, but the cars are still quite new and in really good condition.

They first gave us a Yaris Cross and later swapped it for a same-class Subaru Outback, which was a nice upgrade.

The Kia 4WD didn’t have enough power for the volcano drive or the trip up Mauna Kea to stargaze, so we couldn’t make it up the mountain.

Service was decent, but make sure you really inspect the car at pickup. The first one they gave me had a low key battery warning and the tank wasn’t full, which is something you hardly ever see at a rental place.

Picked up the car right inside the airport. During the process they asked if I was familiar with New Zealand road rules and whether I’d be driving on toll roads like those north of Auckland. They saw I only had basic insurance and asked once if I wanted to add more; after I said no, they didn’t push it at all. The whole pickup was quick and smooth.
They gave me an MX-5 hardtop convertible, which was an absolute joy to drive. I was really happy with the car. The only downside is the trunk can’t fit a large suitcase, so if you’re booking this model, check the luggage capacity beforehand. The roof opens and closes very quickly, which is super handy.
Returning the car was in the same parking area as pickup. Just follow Google Maps and the road signs and you’ll find it easily – very convenient.

First time booking a car on QEEQ, and the whole experience was excellent. QEEQ is really professional when it comes to overseas rentals and they’ve thought through all the little details, which makes renting a car abroad so much easier for people like us. In Salt Lake City, I was at the Thrifty counter trying to talk with the staff but couldn’t understand or speak English well, so I called QEEQ’s US customer service for help and that saved me a ton of trouble.

It’s a smaller company, so the line at the counter was short. They did try to upsell extra insurance, but once I said I already had full coverage they didn’t push it and the whole process was done pretty quickly.
