Avis Car Rental with Luxury Car

AVIS was pretty efficient overall…queued about half an hour to pick up the car, but drop-off took less than 5 minutes.

Queue was a bit on the long side, but everything else was great and there were no issues or accidents.

The car was cleaned, but not really thoroughly — still felt a bit not quite spotless.

Pick-up and drop-off were both quick and efficient.

Service was great, and they even upgraded our car.

When I dropped off the car, I put the keys in the box by the elevator and somehow they still said I was late. QEEQ customer service tried to talk to the rental company, but they refused to give a full refund, and QEEQ ended up covering the rest themselves. Even with video proof they wouldn’t budge, so try to return the car a bit earlier just to be safe.

Service was really attentive.

They upgraded us to a Toyota hybrid, and when we picked it up it had just been washed, so the car was spotless and felt really fresh.

Once you get off the boat, just walk to the right and you’ll quickly spot the AVIS logo, it’s really close. The staff are super friendly and speak loudly and clearly, but their English accent is a bit hard to catch so you kind of have to guess sometimes. The parking lot is just nearby. I’d recommend taking photos of the fuel gauge and doing a full walk-around video of the car to record any existing scratches or dents — it’s definitely worth it.

Pickup was about 3 hours later than planned, but that was because the car had a mechanical issue, not the staff. They were super proactive about rearranging everything for me and even let me extend the rental by one extra day. Service was as great as always, the car was very new, and the staff were really nice. Both pickup and drop-off were very convenient, the area felt safe, there are dedicated parking spaces for your own car, and if you take an Uber the pin is very accurate. There are also plenty of gas stations nearby.

Super easy to find

Renting the car was quick and easy—once I landed, it didn’t take long at all to get to the rental desk and pick up the car.

We booked a Kuga but they upgraded us to a BMW 218d. The car was new and drove really well, but since it’s not an SUV the chassis is lower, and we ended up with a minor scratch on the rear which caused some trouble. I didn’t see any Kugas in the garage at the branch, so they probably just assign a similar car based on how many people are in your group.
What really annoyed me was how slow they were in handling the accident. After returning the car I never received the invoice email from the branch and had to keep chasing QEEQ several times before I finally got it.

Front desk staff were super efficient – checking my license, swiping the card for the deposit, and getting all the paperwork signed was done in no time. They gave me a VW ATLAS and when I picked it up I realized it was a mid-to-large SUV from May 2026, which was such a nice surprise!

Picking up the car at the airport was really easy and fast, with no upselling and no hidden charges at all.
