Vehicle and condition

I was angry to be charged for a full tank of gas, only to find out that it was three quarters full when I turned it on, and within 10 miles it had dropped to a half a tank. If I had done that upon return, I would have been charged.

Not enough staff at pick up. The counter people were great, but; Support staff seemed dis-engaged and unorganized. Rather than explain the details to each customer, maybe it would be good for everyone waiting in line to be reading the general terms and sign a terms contract based on what they read while waiting. This could cut the wait time in half or more.

Advantage customer care was awful. Vehicle broke down the following day. Spent an absolute age on the phone and the supervisor at Advantage was very rude. Apparently could not understand my ‘accent’. I could not understand her and it seemed to me her English was not very good. I spent 3hours in Universal’s car park waiting for assistance. I eventually got a replacement vehicle, but I have to say that neither the original or replacement vehicle were not very clean. Stained upholstery on both cars. These are the worst vehicles I have ever rented in the US in the 20 years I have been visiting. Avoid Advantage

The car remote to unlock doors didn't work and I had to use key to get into vehicle which set the car alarm off everytime. This was a huge inconvience and drew unwanted attention to us everyone we got into the vehicle as it wouldn't stop until the car was started. The counter was closed and there was a sign sending us to a different Florence to get car thru a different company.

Like: it was great to have insurance included, gives a piece of mind and safety
Dislike: it was not sparkly clean
