Great 4x4, great rental staff, bad shuttle

As soon as I arrived at the airport, I spotted the pickup person. It was just a 10-minute drive to the car rental location. There were four counters handling the process, but the wait to pick up the car was quite long since they go over the insurance coverage details with everyone. Back home, I bought full coverage insurance on the platform, which was convenient and cost-effective. There were no issues during pickup or drop-off, the car was in good condition, and everything went smoothly.

This rental company truly operates 24/7; even in the middle of the night, several staff members are on duty, and you can pick up or drop off the car as well as arrange airport transfers at any time. Returning the car was handled efficiently—once the vehicle inspection was completed with no issues, the process was wrapped up quickly. The car I picked up was well-maintained, with no mechanical or maintenance problems. However, the vehicle's feature setup was a bit lacking. Our Subaru XV had ACC cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic wipers and headlights, but no reverse parking sensors, which made reversing somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, adding an extra driver at the rental location required an additional fee of 990 NOK per person per day, which was quite expensive. That said, considering the local cost of living, the service provided was worth the price. The core experience was excellent, and the minor issues were secondary.

the biggest issue I had is the confusion over the requirement for over-sees driver permit...the translation of my US license. I was told I needed it during booking. I panicked cause I didn't get it. Then it was never brought up when we picked up our car. ?
