Like: Staff was efficient and very courteous. Clean, low cost office and grounds for incredibly low cost of car rental.
Dislike: The limited free mileage of 200 kilometers made me have to keep that in mind the whole trip, so it limited my trip.

“Online Bait and Switch”
About Routes: 5.3 /10
the car I booked was a bait and switch. Basically I paid extra to book a Jeep and when i showed up the rental company said that even though the rental said it was for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the classification was for a lower vehicle. I ended up with a crap vehicle.

Shuttle pick up time was longer than expected. Shuttle driver and counter staff were very polite and friendly. More shuttle service and additional counter staff will be helpful for faster customer service.

“This rental experience was a calamity of disorganized staff and unprofessional efforts by Routes !”

The shuttle from the airport was a horrendous THREE HOUR experience due to mainly traffic. Once at the Routes office yet another agonizing 50 minute wait due to inconsiderate and inexperienced staff. After 35 minutes to get through the sign-in, the pre-inspection found the vehicle was NOT clean and ready, the lot jockey collided with another vehicle in their lot rushing it over to the cleaning bay. Another vehicle was brought in, NOT clean, so we had another 15 minute wait to finally get our “not to clean” vehicle ! This four hour + fiasco set us nicely into Vancouver rush hour traffic which was not in my plans considering we landed at YVR at at 12:45pm
