Great car rental experience. Kevin, a third-generation Chinese in Malaysia, was really nice. Our flight was delayed and we got the car at 8 PM, and he even upgraded us to a Toyota Vellfire. He did mention that if someone else booked it, we might have to switch cars later. But overall, it was a wonderful experience. We later switched to a brand-new Proton, with just over 1000 kilometers on it. Due to a delay in our sunset cruise by more than an hour, the rental company only charged us for an hour extra and even gave us a ride back to the hotel. The whole experience was excellent. By the way, gasoline is really cheap in Malaysia, about one-third of the price in our home country.

Picking up the car at the airport and returning it at the dock was very convenient. Langkawi is perfect for self-driving. I'll continue renting from Samavest after returning from Koh Lipe.

The late Mr Lim was a very great and kind chap. Our plane was delayed by two hours, and he still happily served us without any fuss at all. I am so shocked to hear from his colleagues when I returned the car that he has passed away a day or two after I collected the car from him. My condolences to his family.

Did not use the price drop since the membership to Diamond ____ has a subscription fee. It is unlikely for customers like us tourists to need to go to Malaysia so frequently for one year.
