Hertz Car Rental with Pickup Truck

Big, reliable company.

Everything was excellent from start to finish.

Service was decent overall, though it was hard to avoid all the upselling.

The counter was a bit hard to find, but the car itself was great and it’s actually not far from the airport exit.

They clearly had cars available and no customers waiting, but still wouldn’t let me pick up the car earlier. Really inflexible and not willing to work with you at all.

The car was practically brand-new and super clean.

They offered extra insurance and roadside assistance, I said no and they didn’t push it or try to upsell.

The staff at the rental place were super helpful and friendly. They patiently explained how the Malaysian highways work with the EasyGo toll card, and the best part was they even lent me an EasyGo card for free. That really saved me a lot of hassle on the rest of my road trip.

It was my first time driving an EV and the staff proactively upgraded my car. The guy at the pickup desk was super patient, walked me through all the buttons and controls on the new car, and even helped me download and register the local charging app.

Queued for about 40 minutes just to pick up the car. I’d booked a BMW X1, but when the staff saw we had three large suitcases, they tried to give us a Mercedes GLA instead, then said the luggage wouldn’t fit and suggested we pay extra to upgrade to an X3. I refused and kept insisting for around 5–10 minutes before they finally told me there was a Volvo XC40 available.

The rental company staff were really friendly and the car was super comfortable to drive. Returning it was easy too.

No matter how many times I called their customer service line, nobody ever picked up.

Super happy with this rental. I booked a sedan but they upgraded me to a BYD SUV with just over 10,000 km on it, excellent condition and very clean. Pickup and drop-off were super easy, and whenever I had questions, both the front desk and the platform responded quickly and helped right away. Really satisfied and I’ll definitely come back next time.

Really happy with the whole rental experience, the staff were great. My only tiny regret is that I booked a Corolla wagon but ended up with an MG hybrid instead.

It wasn’t the VW ID3 I originally booked, but the Citroën C4 I got was practically brand new, with just over 700 km on the clock.

Both the rental counter and parking lot are inside the airport, so it was really easy to find. The paperwork was straightforward, service was efficient, and we got the car very quickly.

They gave us a practically brand‑new car, only 10 km on the clock when we picked it up. The condition was amazing. I’m a pretty experienced driver and had no issues driving around southern Italy and Sicily, but I still went for full insurance for peace of mind.

The guy at the counter spoke really good English, so everything went smoothly. To keep things simple, we just bought the full insurance right there. He then upgraded our car on the spot after checking how much luggage we had, and switched us to a Ford.

One of the ladies at HertzQEEQ gave me a free upgrade to a Hyundai SUV, which was honestly really nice.

Pickup and return were both really smooth—big companies really do make things easier.
