First car was picked up, then refused due to the undertray hanging down. A replacement was arranged for the next day.

Picking up the car at the dock incurs an additional fee of about 50 NZD compared to picking it up at the store.

Car met expectations. Pick-up and drop-off were efficient. No hard sell on extras.

At the car rental point in Picton, a ship had just arrived, and I had to wait in line for half an hour at the office door. Two elderly ladies were working, and they were very friendly. When it was my turn, I had prepared all the necessary documents in advance; they reviewed them, swiftly printed the contract, and handed over the keys. The parking lot is about a 2-minute drive from the port office. One of the ladies, worried I might not find the car, accompanied me to the parking lot. There were no upsells at the counter; they just asked if I needed to return the car with an empty tank. They informed me the gas price was 2.5 per liter and assured me that full insurance covered everything, advising me to drive carefully and not to worry. On the way to the parking lot, she kept reminding me to drive on the left, not to speed, and to practice driving in the lot before hitting the road. She even came out to check on me while I was practicing to see if I needed any help. I am very grateful to her. A true exemplary employee of Hertz.

Car was good but terrible service at counter. Long delay because of possible staff shortage. Unnecessary detail required by counter staff and explanations of unattractive options. A charge of $30 because of location and high office rental was extortion!!

Hertz is relatively more expensive compared to other companies, but QEEQ offers a pretty decent price. The car was quite new and the return process was very convenient.

I booked a Ford Falcon, but possibly due to lack of availability, I got a Toyota RAV4 for about the same price. It had 8,000 kilometers on it but the overall condition was mediocre and the engine was quite loud. Overall, I'm reasonably satisfied.

Brand new car, only 37 kilometers on it! Excellent service!

Picking up the car was convenient, but returning it required dropping the keys in the box when no one was at the office, which made me a bit worried.
