Overall it's okay, this is my third time using Dollar. Pros: It's cheap and the car condition is decent (Hertz is better but more expensive). Friendly reminder: If you're renting without a US ID, you need to buy third-party insurance. On the platform, you can just buy the basic third-party insurance because the staff in the US will almost enforcefully upsell their road assistance (personal experience: even if you buy the full insurance package on the platform, they'll still try to sell you their insurance). The advantage of buying their upsold insurance is that you can freely choose your car (same class), but if you don't accept it, your vehicle will be fixed (based on experiences in Los Angeles and Orlando; unsure about other places). Just for your reference.

The customer service is very good, but they close a bit early. They close at 8 PM on Sunday.

We asked for a convertible. The first car had an issue with the roof that we fortunately discovered before we left the garage. We agreed to come back in 5 hours for a replacement as there weren't any available at the time. Second car was identical but without fault. On pick up, the price quoted was higher than agreed on the booking. Only incentive argued did they remove the "satellite radio" extra we didn't ask for and the price dropped to the booking amount plus some tax / fee I'm not sure is legitimate. No issues regarding fuel or damage on drop off, but they did try and charge us for an additional day because of the delayed start despite previously agreeing we could drop it off 5 hours latwe. Again, once we pushed them they met the agreed price without hassle. Overall it seems they try to trick you into paying additional fees without telling you which seems dishonest, but we still enjoyed the hire.
