Upon arrival to collect the vehicle on December 5, I faced a delay of approximately 35 minutes. This was due to the unavailability of a suitable vehicle, despite making a reservation well in advance. The first vehicle I was given had an expired vehicle registration. I only discovered this when told by the SCDMV. Exchanging to a legal vehicle required me to take unpaid time off work, which hasn't been compensated. More than 6 other vehicles also had expired registrations. To top it off, I was then charged (and subsequently refunded after complaining) because the first car didn't have a full tank when returned! It was not my intention to return the car - this was the only resolution available to the onsite representative.

Long wait time. Poor management and short of staff

Car was new and clean, check in was really quick, and drop off was just as easy. The LAX shuttle came frequently so we didn’t have to wait long at either end. No upselling at the counter, which is great. Would definitely use Budget again.
