We chose Hertz because we used it in the USA and had good experiences. This time, we booked a Renault. Initially, the staff said that since we didn’t provide our flight number, the car was still in the garage and suggested we take another car from the lot for an additional fee. We decided to wait for our booked Renault, which we had already fully paid for. The wait was not long, and the car was nearly new, diesel-powered, with good performance. Returning the car at the airport was very convenient with no delays. Highly recommended.

I booked a Renault Capture, but they gave me a Yaris. I instinctively feel they are not the same class of cars, but the rental company insisted they are, because the Yaris is a hybrid and it was the only available automatic. I had no choice but to take it. The trunk couldn't fit two suitcases; one small suitcase had to go on the back seat. The car's performance was good and it accelerated quickly. Since we were driving in the countryside, parking was convenient. They took a 310 EUR deposit, not sure when it will be refunded.

We booked and expected a Peugeot 308 Wagon but were given a Citroen sedan which was not really suitable - we were told it was the only car left available and we didn't have a choice except to pay more and upgrade if we wanted a different car. Would not change the car at a later date without charging us to pay out the existing contract and then start a new contract which was way too expensive.
