The queue at AVIS was rather long, likely because it's a large platform with good reputation. The customer service attitude was acceptable, but they added roadside assistance insurance without informing me. I only discovered this after checking my credit card statement following a car exchange. However, I had already purchased full coverage insurance during the booking process.

Great experience

American people are really helpful—After dropping off the car in Salt Lake City, I had a flight back to LA. Unfortunately, the GPS led us to a timed parking lot instead of the return lot. With less than two hours until the flight and an iron fence between us and the return point, I couldn’t show my parents how anxious I was. I jumped out of the car and searched for help in the deserted area. Luckily, a staff member appeared after a few steps and, after I explained the situation, she drove us to the correct drop-off point, hugged me, and told me not to worry before running back—such a heartwarming and memorable experience for my parents too!

We rented two cars and added additional driver insurance and roadside assistance. For some reason, the prices for the two cars were slightly different, although the difference was only a few dollars. The cars were very new and in great condition, which was excellent. My companions all said the cost-performance ratio was very good. However, we waited quite a while to pick up the cars because there were quite a few people. One of our cars scratched another vehicle. When we returned, we just filled out an accident report and that was it; the full coverage was very convenient.
