Car was good. I only had a problem with Hertz as I had a late flight and called them directly as I am a member and asked if I could just go straight to my car. When I called and said I was a member, they asked for my membership number and then they proceeded to cancel my original reservation and rebook it and a much higher rate without telling me. Why? Who knows. This caused confusion at pick up to say the least. I took the car and decided to sort it out later. QEEQ took care of this for me after I called them and explained what had happened.

The car was very new, only 6000 miles on it. Although they suggested switching to an SUV, they didn't push when I declined. Returning the car was very convenient, with a shuttle bus taking us to the terminal.

The night manager was very kind to upgrade our vehicle to a nicer car. However, because of the late hour of pickup no one walked the car to check for exiting damage, which there was on the front driver side of the car. I called to report the damage to corporate and even had to take the car back to the pickup location because no one would answer the phone at the lot. Upon drop off the Hertz Rep acknowledged that the damage was preexisting and note it accordingly on her held held device.

The staff didn't explain anything about how to handle tolls, even though the drop off was in a different state. On the New Jersey Turnipike, I paid cash as I went along. Then a few weeks after I got home, a toll charge of $38.14 appeared on my credit card! I have no idea what this was for and would like and explanation and a refund!
