The car was excellent, got a free upgrade to a larger vehicle. The pick-up and drop-off were smooth, and the car was in great condition. It was a standard American full-size SUV, very spacious, comfortable to sit in, and the third row was also very roomy.

We chose Budget on the Big Island because the price was relatively cheap. However, there were a lot of people when picking up the car, and we had to wait in a long line. Additionally, Budget's vehicles on the Big Island are a bit old. We were assigned a Dodge that had already been driven over 100,000 miles, which felt a bit like driving an old tank, but all the functionalities were still fine.

“disappointing budget added unnecessary charges despite me telling them I had full insurance”

Good until I read the fine detail after collecting the car. Without any discussion /agreement the desk person applied a charge of $9.95 per day for personal accident cover-which I had already purchased via QEEQ /AXA. My total charge was 165.20 including 99.5 USD for this insurance which I did not need /agree to - I am seeking a refund of this
