Good price but need to ensure rental agents and booking details all tie up

San Francisco pick up was very lengthy. We waited over an hour to be served due to high demand, low number of staff and low number of vehicles available. When we were eventually served we were told our booking was not for that location despite my reservation stating it was. I specifically chose that location being within walking distance of our hotel. We were told the car was the other side of San Francisco so ended up getting a taxi there. When we eventually arrived we were dealt with very quickly though. There is obviously a problem with the on line booking system in addition to organisation at the local branch in San Francisco.

The car broke down and the customer service was terrible and in fact the recommendations made by the customer service team were dangerous - they told us to drive it when the vehicle was not in a drivable condition and could have caused a huge incident if driven.

“Terrible experience. Pick up location on booking did not match up this resulted in an additional exp”

Car was different to the car requested and budget were unhelpful when the pick up location was different to that on our booking form. Car also has oil service message come up straight away but we were told this was ok to take regardless of warning message.

“Well worth the money”

The counter staff on collecting the car were thorough but slightly short on informing us to check the car for damage before we leave & what petrol was in the tank, but I went back and he was pretty good with the paperwork & sorted it quickly, On returning the car the young man was BRILLIANT, helpful & thorough and moved us through as quickly as possible, shame I didn't get his name but definitely a great man.
