The location is outside the airport and a bit hard to find. The staff are very friendly, but if you're not careful, you might end up paying extra fees.

1. non avendo macchine a benzina del gruppo che avevo richiesto, mi hanno addebitato 9,90 per la tassa sul diesel!!! (non era un problema mio) (e non la fa pagare nessuno per quelle categorie d'auto...) 2. al mio rientro mi hanno "consigliato", dicendomi che rischiavo di aver addebitata la pulizia dell'auto, che passassi da un lavaggio ad "aspirare" quelle 4 pietrine che c erano dentro. Risultato: 15 minuti tra cercare il benzinaio, cambiare i gettoni, aspirare e ritornare. tutto questo potevano farlo loro in 2 minuti esatti visto che è stato il tempo effettivo necessario per aspirare "quella gran quantità di terra che c'era..."

On arrival, I was made to wait over 40minutes to be seen to, then I had to pay the full insurance premium instead of the deposit as my credit card only had my first name initial, not my full first name, so the car cost me in excess of £500 for 9 days. I still haven’t received my fuel deposit back. The women in reception wasn’t helpful at all, I was made to feel like I was wasting her time - tutting, huffing and puffing... she sternly told me my options were, pay it or cancel the hire and I would lose the £120 I had already paid and stuck in Rome airport with my wife and child at 11pm at night. I will not and will advise friends and family not to be using Gold Car ever again. pissed off is an understatement....

They are scam artists. Stuck me with a diesel car which wasn't on my rental agreement, then charged me an extra tax ("pollution tax") when my agreement said all taxes and surcharges were included. We discovered about 45 mins. after we left the rental facility that we only got 1/2 a tank of fuel. Called the company immediately who told us to email them the photograph of our fuel gage. Never received a response. We had only driven about 80km (about 50 miles) when we noticed. I drove further than that on the return and it only took about 2 gallons and cost about 10Euros for fuel. When I returned the car with exactly the amount of fuel I got, they argued with me, blamed it on me and then charged me for fuel and a fine. They pushed it off to customer service when it was their own people who told us to email THEM. I will be disputing this with my credit card company.
