The staff member at the pick-up was very courteous and helped us purchase full insurance coverage and ferry tickets to the South Island. His patient service resolved our issues and ensured a smooth trip. He deserves praise.

Everything was good except for the part that the previous driver had left a lot of hair and litter in the car and Great Rentals did not bother to clean it.

Horrible pick up experience. Rude staff. Tried to charge us our excess for insurance up front (claimed miscommunication). 7pm at night and the rude staff member tells us we need to go elsewhere. Another member of staff came to speak with us 10 mins later and finalised the pick up. Car radio didn't work. Wasn't in english so we couldn't use for our whole trip
