Our self-drive trip in Spain went really smoothly overall. There was just one incident in downtown Barcelona: while we were stopped at a red light, an Indian guy on a motorbike punctured our right rear tire. We called for roadside assistance and the rental company responded really quickly, sending both a tow truck and a taxi. We took the taxi back to the rental office to swap cars. Returning the car was super easy too—you just park in the designated area and drop the keys in the mailbox. The service was excellent!

Overall service was acceptable, but the car was old. The car inspection was done on the spot when picking up and returning, and the deposit was refunded immediately.

No full check up of vehicle before handover. Car was dirty and full of scratches and delivery person was rude to clean up. Finally with lots of arguments vehicle was changed which was good. Again no time given to inspect vehicle and person on duty was not interested to mark damage. Also he wrongly mark shelf in car which was not there. On returning person mark damage on Tire but same was not ask to check on handing over time. Since full coverage was there which safeguard for charges due to negligence of Hartz team.
