Found it I bit hard to locate office in Auckland as we were looking for EasyRentCars and couldn’t see that name anywhere or even the street number, so we weren’t sure if we were in the right place.

When I needed help booking the Interislander Ferry the staff were excellent. Ellie in Wellington especially so.

Upon initial booking I required to speak to a person. Found it disconcerting to speak to someone in Hong Kong when talking about New Zealand. They were not aware of the geography - places, areas etc. Wish I'd realise I was booking through an agent.

Would 100% recommend Apex cars. We were a bit worried having seen some negative reviews online beforehand, but were pleasantly surprised. Received excellent customer care at both pick up (Auckland) and drop off (Wellington). In addition, the car (a mazda axela as a tiida equvalent) was in great condition and very spacious and comfortable. No criticisims whatsoever, staff were helpful, courteous, welcoming, and had humour. We did also use Ace rentals for the south island, but found the quality and comfort of the Apex car rental, as well as the customer service to be far superior.

Keen price for an older well used vehicle with lots of little nicks and superficial paint damage. Well serviced vehicle with good mechanicals for 120,000k, ran well for the extra 7,500k we put on it and with pretty good fuel consumption. Collection and drop off service efficient and friendly. No hard sell of additional extras. All in all a good car hire experience.

Booking was easy and the option to cancel was very useful when we decided the original selected car hire company had such poor reviews elsewhere that we would change to another.

The Corolla was a nippy little car but is not insulated from road noise. The NZ roads have coarse seal and the noise was tiring. We did 1800km in 10 days. I still have not had a resolution to the fact a stone chip was probably collected on the screen during our rental. I took out the extra insurance through easy car rental AXApolicy, so don't know the out come...

Brilliant service, so far, have booked 3 rental in NZ with you. On second now, but car this time is older ( 8yrs) and very basic, which was not told at rental booking , and was not clear which co I was renting from. The car was a bit battered and scratched too and the outside was very dirty, but inside clean.
