Good overall

I have rented cars from Thrifty through Easyrentcars.com twice this year: on both occasions I purchased the Super Insurance Package when making my booking online. When collecting my car on both occasion, the counter staff attempted to sell me LDW Additional insurance. When I explained that I had already purchased additional insurance and that LDW insurance was included in my total rate, they became very persistent in their efforts to convince me that I was underinsured and that I needed to purchase more insurance. On the first occasion the Thrifty representative became quite rude when I continued to refuse to be persuaded to buy insurance that i had already purchased. On the second occasion the Thrifty representative spent a considerable amount of time telling me that I did not understand the situation and that I would be breaking the law by driving the vehicle without first purchasing insurance from him: he kept me waiting at the desk to collect my car for almost 45 minutes although I had all the required documents including proof of all the insurances I had purchased. On both occasions i found the manner of the counter staff rude and intimidating, leaving me a very negative perception of the Thrifty Car Rental experience.

We waited for a long time to get the car, which was not the car we reserved. We reserved a mini van and ended up with a SUV with 3rd row seating after waiting for a very long time for a van. There were many other families waiting for a mini van as well but there were none available. We got tired of waiting as our visit was short in LA and we had much to do. We finally agreed to take a SUV just to get out of the Thrifty lot.

My booking was done from India, somehow Alamo refused to give me car on BWI airport on 16 April, later your customer service manager agreed that I rent car from BUDGET company and agree to reimbursement the cost I wrote 10 email but no one care to send money or even a phone call Do you know how difficult to call u On your customer service number no forwarding number 1,2 ,3,4 works This is very disappointing wish management call me

I paid for my car in advance and was under the impression nothing else needed to be paid. Upon collecting the vehicle I was given another invoice which was not clearly explained to me. There was a whole lot of items such as additional insurance which I didn't understand and quite frankly didn't need. The sales person simply gave me the invoice and didn't go through what each item meant. After a 16 flight I wasn't in the right frame of mind. It's quite disappointing to say the least, will not use Thrifty again, they are very dishonest.

Like: They offered me upgrade with big discount and I took SUV. Very low mileage car and so comfortable to drive.
Dislike: Exterior was not clean enough.
