Like: The plan was to drive the whole West Coast but then we were lured in by Death Valley! Took our wheels to Area 51 then up to Oregon. I think the highways were a bit tough on her but she made it and it took next to no gas to make the full trek. Already planning the next trip, with the same size car. It was perfect for two.

I have to say I was very disappointd with Alamo. 1. We had no choice of vehicle, there was two their both in the same luxury category but was only allowed one of the two without an explanation. 2. The car was not even clean and to make matters worse either the people who hired the car before us or the rental staff had been smoking dope. It was that bad that on the second day we had had enough and paid for the car to get a interior detail. So disappointed. The only benefit was the car did drive and ride fantastic and would gladly get another Lincoln.

counter staff was a bit annoyed with us, we had booked 2 - 15 seater vans and they would not remove the back seat for luggage, wanted us to book another car just for luggage which would have been an extra $1200 USD which we declined and just jammed our luggage over seats etc. we needed to buy a small step to get in and out of the van as it was very high. Alamo were great when we let them know the van had been broken into and we did not have to pay any excess as it was all covered.

Excellent service at counter and no messing around by staff trying to force extras on me. Staff acted quickly and explained everything I needed to know quickly so I could be on my way fast after a delayed flight. Coice of cars were all excellent and in great condition. Alamo pick up location quite far from airport. Shuttelbus without troulke though. Finding the counter building could be a bit more intuitive. Counter staff not friendly but also not rude. Car handover staff firendly and easy going. We could pick from two differtent large SUVs. Car was brand new and flawless in all respects.

Alamo was good but their agent did not really have time to explain what insurance is for what. I recommend buying at least the tyre insurance from them so you are not mandated to pay a huge bill in case of a puncture. (For the comprehensive insurance you have a lot of options via Easyrentcars, Credit Cards, Travel insurance, etc. Usually the one at the Alamo counter is the most expensive. So do the math before you travel!) In case you want a specific model as I did: Alamo has a huge selection of cars at the LA branch. When you get off the bus you can actually quickly check what cars are in the bay. I really wanted a Mustang convertible. Since I did not know to check in the bay before entering the branch I asked the agent if it was available. He offered me a Mustang Cabrio GT as an upgrade. But since I was not willing to pay a £250 upgrade on top of the £250 rental I took the risk of having a similar model. Luckily they had several Mustang convertibles available and I just took one of them without upgrading.

Alamo has exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival at LAX Airport during the peak holiday season, there's a shuttle bus that brought us to Alamo's station. Post registration and paper work (shout out to your staff Mohamed 5 out of 5), we were brought to the SUV area where we could choose our own vehicle. There are so many models available, but we asked the staff for help on how to choose which they gladly did for us. Eventually, the service personnel gave us a brand new model with only 3 miles, and we returned it a thousand miles later after a 10-day roadtrip in California.

The car was definitely smaller and less performing than indicated in the reservation. I reserved a "Jeep Renegade or similar" model and instead was given a Nissan Kicks with no option to choose other models and. I was simply told that this is what Alamo means by "similar." I needed a 4WD vehicle for my trip and instead had to give up a leg of my vacation because the vehicle was not adequate. I was very disappointed.

The car pickup process was self-service. We added roadside assistance insurance, printed the receipt, and picked up the car ourselves. It was very convenient. At the entrance, we scanned our documents, checked the driver's license and its translation. For the car return, we had originally planned to return it at the airport, but a phone call confirmed that we could change to the Union Square location for free, which was great since our hotel was at Union Square. The service was very good with no extra charges.

Pickup is very convenient. The staff helped us operate the self-service terminal, so no need to wait in line at the counter, which was great! Returning the car was even simpler; you drive to the return location, the staff verifies your name, and you can just get off and grab your luggage. The car condition was quite good too. I drove a mid-sized JEEP with just 13,000 miles.

Very satisfied. When picking up the car, they specifically helped me confirm the model. Since I had a lot of luggage, I chose a larger car. There were some minor scratches on the car when I picked it up, so I talked to the staff and checked the odometer, which showed the car had run 14,400 miles in total.
