The counter staff was excellent, but having to take a shuttle from the airport to pick up the car. I specifically look for on-site rentals to save time. It was difficult to find the shuttle location since the airport counter was closed then we hade to take another company’s shuttle to pick up the car.

We couldn't ultimately rent the desired Jeep Grand Cherokee, only an equivalent Enclave. We made efforts to switch cars at the rental site, but due to the one-way rental situation, many cars were restricted. We also called Dollar's customer service, but the phone lines were down due to continuous snowfall.

“1 agent working with 50 customers in line. 90 minute. Car not available - substituted a smaller SUV”

Waited about 90 mintes in line to get to SLC Thrifty agent. Completed all paperwork and had to wait an additional 40 minutes to be told the Suburban rented was not available- check engine light, with no other Suburbans available. Was offered two smaller SUVs to compensate for space, but only had one driver. Had to squeeze into a Chevy Tahoe - 6 passengers total plus luggage. 4 teens sat across the back for their tour of Grand Tenton and Yellowstone. I rented a Suburban due to combination of three rows and combined luggage space. Nothing compares to that vehicle platform.
