Long wait for pick up. Some car issues.

Shuttle driver was the only good part of the transaction. One guy at the counter. Acted like he was doing me a favor by acknowledging me. Even asked if my insurance card was real. No professionalism. Rented a Corolla, but received a Jeep. Okay, but was assured the low tire light being on was no big deal, it's a sensor, "we go over all of our vehicles before they go out". 1/8 tank of gas - really? First stop is the gas station. Get out on the highway, lots of bugs. No washer fluid! Guess their version of going over a vehicle is much different than mine. Last time I will use Routes.

REAL EXPERIENCE!! AIRPORT AND SHUTTLE: I arrived at Orlando Airport and walked about 10 minutes to the shuttle stop. I waited at the shuttle stop for around 15 minutes, the shuttle arrived. The ride was around 20-25 minutes as the shuttle visited both terminals on the way to the place. ROUTES OFFICE: When arrived at Routes, there were around 15 people in the room. I signed a waiting list so I was now in queue to collect my pre-booked car. They had Netflix on a TV (but the screen was frozen) and a few chairs, but they were all occupied. They had a water cooler but it was empty, so I stood by the door. After around 30 minutes, somebody called my name and I went to the counter. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Nobody was wearing name tags, but a lady helped me and the first thing she said was: "Which insurance would you like to buy?"... Option 1. 21.95 per day or Option 2: 24.95 a day. The difference was the deductible. I told them I don't want to purchase insurance, I had my own. So they asked me for insurance proof, however, my insurance ID card was not enough. They wanted the full form which listed all the figures and totals lol. After calling my company 3 times and spending around 40 mintues on the phone, I finally got the paperwork emailed over. I saw many people giving up and paying them $21.95 per day, I suppose this is how they get their money! CHARGES: Deposit they charged to my card was $350 based on a $50 rental. They charge 11.95 per day for SunPass. If you run a cashless toll without it, their admin fee is $100 per toll. They do not rent to young drivers under any circumstances. The car exceeded my expectations the front desk staff was excellent I would definitely rent again. Did however have to wait 25 minutes to be picked up from the airport when I was told 10 to 15 minutes.

Brand new vehicle, very reasonable price. Less than 10 minutes of arrival we were on our way. Excellent service, extremely caring staff, pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will be recommending to everybody I know!

Overall good experience, the hour wait for the shuttle from airport to location was excessive. Also did not know I needed proof of my personal insurance in addition to the credit card auto insurance coverage I was using. Overall a good experience. I did witness the agent refusing people their rental because their arrival was supposed to be at 10am, they were delayed due to flights and they would not rent to them at 1500h. They actually took them back to the airport and refused to budge saying their rental contract had been closed! Fortunately, I was 30 minutes early, but that was also noted that I was early!
