Excellent prices great service at the counter overall great experience. I extended it no problems

The service attitude was quite good. I picked up the car around 9 pm and there was no queue. The customer service did not mention insurance, but when I proactively requested full coverage, they added it. After picking up the car in Los Angeles and driving to Irvine, I felt the car was a bit old, so I went to their branch there and exchanged it for another car that was more attractive and newer. It was very comfortable to drive. The car exchange in the San Francisco Stanford area took about 30 minutes in line. The service attitude there was also excellent. They said I could leave after handing over the keys, but I insisted on receiving a receipt on-site. They calculated the fuel cost for the exchange on the spot, and I signed the documentation. The deposit was refunded very quickly, within two to three days. Afterwards, I received toll and service fee invoices gradually.

Both pickup and drop-off were convenient. The store was quite busy, so there was some waiting time when retrieving the car. The compact car booked was not in great condition, but they upgraded it for free. Got lucky and received a newly returned Camry, which turned out to be a brand-new car.

Originally booked a Chrysler 300, but was told at Newark Airport that it wasn't available, and that there's no guarantee it will be! Later, they offered a choice between a Cadillac XTS and a Chevrolet Impala of the same grade. Considering the trunk space, we chose the Impala. Fortunately, the car was very new, with only 8000 miles on it. Driving performance was good and we were quite satisfied. Initially planned to give a 3-star rating. We had reserved a same-location pickup and drop-off, but due to traffic reasons, decided to return the car in Brooklyn. Successfully changed the return location at a Hertz point near Washington for free, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, a good experience.

In a diverse country like the U.S., Hertz should employ staff from different countries to address language barriers for international travelers. Initially rented a convertible sports car, but found it cramped and exchanged it for an SUV at the store without any extra charge and with a full tank of gas.

Got a free upgrade to a Mercedes with a discount. Very good deal and great service at the shop.
