It was my first time renting a car for a self-drive trip in the US and I was very satisfied. I was surprised when I picked up the car; it was actually brand new with the plastic coverings still on. As a novice traveler renting a car abroad for the first time, I was quite impressed compared to the rental market back home. Got a new car, so let's make the most of it! However, this review is only for Dollar at San Francisco. The car I got later at Los Angeles Airport was pretty ordinary.

The counter staff was insistent on me getting the unlimited tolls plan even though I made it clear that I was going to use the car within a city only. It was a little annoying after a while. Besides the plan costs $125 which is abusively too much for almost any trip.
