EUROPCAR CAR RENTAL REVIEWS IN JAPAN

We had issues with our IDP which wasn't dated (error by Post Office in the UK) but it took an hour to convince Europcar/Times to accept it was valid. Otherwise the Times staff were helpful and the return drop off details very good.

Easy to book the car and one way hire options better than competitors- but hire overall was expensive vs other countries. Plus cost of tolls was not pointed out upfront.

Extremely polite service, nothing was too much trouble or effort. Assisted in changing the sat nav to English for us which made everything much easier.

Customer service was very prompt in answering my queries.

Give the customer what they book and stop being deceptive.

Like: Responsive to booking and requests. Good that deal included extra driver and GPS (English) thrown in for free. It was also easy to extend the car for a day at a reaonable charge.
Dislike: nil

Great car, very clean and paperwork was in English which was good. Counter service staff should be able to speak some English. This was not the case and made the collection process quite stressful.

QEEQ responded quickly to my enquiries.

The car was not good. Dirty. Not cleaned outside for rental. The front window rain blade was too old that the plastic would not effectively wripped off the rain.

Book Eurocar but the car company operates by Times, good service too

Arriving at the airport to look for the counter was a little difficult. There was no Europcar sign but rather Times so we were going back and forth looking for the counter. It’d be worthwhile having a number to text vs call if we were running late.

Like: Very nice and friendly staff. The car I rented was in good condition. I totally recommend it!

I don't know why ask me to comment on Eurocar as i pick the car from times rental. Anyway the Japanese staff were excellent in everything. Service, car, information. I give 5 star for it and will definitely use this company again!

Location codes in the car navigation system did not work, and overall the navigation system was not useful because it did not find POIs.

Like: CAR CONDITION WAS GOOD. VERY CLEAN.
Dislike: NAVIGATION MANUAL WAS JAPANESE. AND NOBODY EXPLAINED HOW TO USE. HARD TO COMMUNICATE WITH STAFF. THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH.

To be exact, it is service provided by "Times Car Rental". The location is super close to airport (5mins).

We have rented from Europcar in Japan quite a few times and always have fantastic service.

Like: Car wasn't what we reserved. However, the performance of the car over the rental duration left us in no doubts that its performance was at least equal to, if not superior than, the one we had reserved. The staff were friendly and taught us how to use the in-vehicle GPS to navigate around, and gave many tips as to what to expect when driving in Tokyo.

Very detailed explanation when pick up at check in. Car is very clean as Japanese standard.

Nothing too special, delivered what it should deliver
