They’ll really push you to upgrade the car and add extra insurance, and if you say no they try to scare you with all kinds of worst-case scenarios. Just stick to what you want and don’t give in.

The car was great. It was a diesel, and once we removed the trunk cover, we could easily fit four suitcases in the back, including one boxy hard-case.

Overall pretty happy with the service and the car was in decent condition. Got a tire pressure warning while driving, but it went away after we added air. Kind of a bummer we didn’t get the Audi A3 we’d booked, and the replacement had a column shifter I’m really not used to.
