About Budget: 6.7 /10
The queue to collect the car was over an hour and a half which I consider completely unreasonable. At one point there were 4 members of staff talking amongst themselves rather than serving the very long queue of people, who were extremely tired after a long trip. When I did get to the desk, the employee then attempted to sell various insurances, claiming we didn’t have any protection when the paperwork clearly stated we did. Obviously, we did not take the insurance, but he told lies about the amount of cover we had, trying to take advantage of our lack of knowledge of the country and our fatigue. I loved the car, it was exactly what we needed, but the service at Budget on pick up was terrible. On return it was easy and friendly.

“Avoid Budget like the Plague”

Budget didn't have a vehicle for me. I have a disabled daughter and specifically booked a minivan so we had space for luggage and wheelchair. After waiting over an hour at the rental counter I was sent to collect an "upgraded" vehicle. No vehicle in the alloted space - it had been given to someone else. In total over 3 hours before I had a vehicle and was able to leave the airport. Shockingly bad service. Never again!

“Wrong car, poor air condition, slipping transmission, not all that clean”

Car had 34,000 miles and was worn, tired and had only mediocre AC in the Florida environment. Transmission did not work well either.

“Nice car, pity hadn’t been cleaned properly.”

This was our last visit to Florida as our children are older and requested a specific car, but didn’t get it. On collection there was a large queue and the staff working do take their time and disappear off a lot (not sure why) mid sorting out your rental. The man who sorted our paperwork was polite and professional. We found out car no problem. The car on the inside could have been cleaner. There was a lot of sand in the car and we also found fries and mentos under the seats! The car was adequate for a family of four and ran smoothly for the duration of our trip.

“It’s not that difficult”

Got to the counter for collection was told there was no car, would we take another,l replied as long as it’s a soft top,was then told the car would be twenty minutes, Forty minutes later still no car,when I returned to the counter was told the car had not been returned yet, After a further thirty minutes the car turned up, No apologies no nothing just abruptly told your car is in bay whatever, We got to the car to find it had not been cleaned,the oil change light was on,the washer fluid needed filling, We filled the washer up ourselves, The car return was ok
