Dear Team, Having recently used Easy Rent Cars I felt it necessary to get in touch and write reviews (which is a first for me) of our very bad initial experience with your supplier 'Easirent'. My wife and I recently arrived in Stansted Airport, London where we had reserved a hire a car with yourselves, which involves calling a number to get on your shuttle bus outside the airport which then takes customers to your car garage nearby. Once reaching the bus stop area outside (where we were told to get on the bus), we saw the bus and waived it down, the bus driver rolled his window down and said he "was full". As he drove past us to our utter bemusement my wife and I noticed he had several vacant seats. I then decided to call the number again for pick up and the gentlemen said there is only one driver and he will do a round trip which will take 20 minutes. After waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes the bus arrives again with the same driver 'Tanase' where we finally got on and asked him why he didn’t let us on and say he was full when he had empty seats, he simply replied “I speak no English”! To say this was a lame excuse and the guy was totally rude and unprofessional is a huge understatement. With the visit to the UK for a family funeral the next day and after a 7 hour flight this bizarre attitude was the last thing we needed. When we arrived I mentioned what had just happened to one of the staff that was serving me at the desk, who apologised on his behalf and gave me an upgrade. I was not looking for an apology nor an upgrade, just simply relaying this on, as the whole experience was surreal and I'm sure if this happened to us, it's happening to other customers too that Tanase is supposedly meant to be picking up. Please ensure this gets feedback to Management, especially in your Stansted Airport, London branch. Regards,

I could not get through on the phone for some time to alert them of the pick up and had to wait around 30 minutes at the airport

Had to wait for >40 minutes to be collected from Southampton airport as I was given the wrong directions to the collection area by Easirent head office. I was happy with the car and the hire cost but was charged £225 after drop off. At drop-off I disputed that I had caused damage to one tyre wall. The representative said they would investigate in case it was a previous issue since past customer(s) had badly damaged the hub cap on the same wheel. I've not yet received any explanation or breakdown as to the £225 charge 8 days later as Easirent customer services aren't on the phone and have not yet responded to my email. I'm very unhappy with the poor communication. Surely £225 is ridiculously excessive for replacing one tyre???

Short staffed caused much inconvenience!!! Took hour and a half to pick us up at the airport then another half hour before actually driving away, could have got a bus to our destination in this time!! Tried to convince us to take out "extra" insurance as not covered on the one originally sold to us (as usual for hire car companies!!) Promised a free upgrade for the inconvenience and also extra fuel, Upgrade was the car we probably would have got anyway and we paid over the odds for the fuel as full to empty but still took it back half full so the company profited all round!! On dropping off our car at the airport, short staffed AGAIN (even though 1 staff serving 1 customer - took an age as the customer was being ripped off as was told there were previous rental issues even though there wasn't) and then asked to take the car to Travelodge and walk in freezing wind from there to the airport. NOT A GOOD FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE!!!!

I am absolutely disgusted with the service from Easirent, who conned me into signing for insurance that was not explained to me. I had already purchased insurance from Easyrent and instead of asking for a deposit they took more money out of my account for further insurance without explaining the terms to me. After realising the next day that money had left my account, I called them and they just blamed Easyrent and said that they should never have sold me insurance?!
