CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON AVIS IN WASHINGTON

The queue moved quickly, and the service was good. However, the parking lot is within the train station's parking area, which was not clearly stated.

Location not the easiest to find. Signposting could be improved. Car type was upgraded I believe due to the lack of available vehicles. Some damage to supplied vehicle. Windows were filthy internally.

Waited well over half an hour to pickup car — there were four staff at the registers but it was *very slow*

Everything says ‘print voucher’ but there isn’t a button to do so, or a download sent by email. Very frustrating as it implies that picking up without documents would be ‘wrong’. Otherwise it’s good.

Service was okay.

The car was in good condition and new. They wash the car before you pick it up, and the return process is quick.

The car had a mechanical problem, and Avis was very accommodating

TERRRRRIBLE Value. Lots of hidden fees - ended up with >100$ added to the booking after the fact. NONE of these fees were explained during booking or pickup, may have technically been in fine print - but somehow it still took >40 minutes to check out. Didn't explain how to use tolls, or whether I'd be charged for them regardless. Didn't explain gas charges - so I was charged triple because I didn't have the choice of paying up front. The person at the desk didn't communicate or answer questions, tried to upsell me on insurance (which I'd already paid for, so I'm not sure what that would have even been), and also didn't actually explain the wierd extra fees that she was including. Generally a TERRRIBLE experience. I've rented many times in the past year - this was the worst.
