Like: The vehicle that I received was one that I like and it only had 12,000 miles. As a mid-size it had lots of tech bells and whistles, but didn't have an onboard GPS and console map display. Friendly staff that made it simple.
Dislike: Nothing you can really do about the location of the rental car pickup. It was OK but not really close to the airport.

Upon arrival i was very miss lead on the options i had previously purchased.at the time of of arrival i was told of no insurance,a small 3 cyl car and no discount for 1 day early return.i was charged a extra 300$ for insurance when clearly i had purchased it already online beforehand.myself being calm and asking what was the excuse for the extra charges,the front counter staff had zero explanation for extra charges and wasnt provided with honest straight answers on my paper work i had provided,they were just quick to get my credit card funds.being accomadating to my requests,they had “granted” me a complementary upgrade vehicle which was the exact one i had payed for online anyway.
For the next 2 months i have once again booked my rental vehicle through you guys again hoping to see what future changes can be applied

The billing that we got was very confusing. On our bill we were charged $421 for a refuelling fee at $8.99/gal. We returned the vehicle full of fuel as the bill states,so what is this refuelling fee? If the $421 is for something else then call it what it is, I even asked what it was but wasn' t given an explanation

I got a great deal for a 10-day car rental! My little Mitsubishi Mirage was perfect for what I needed! Very economical! My biggest problem was actually finding the EZ/Advantage counter, but that might have something to do with where the shuttle dropped us off and the lack of proper signage.

i picked up my car and on way away from airport noticed that the car had just over a 1/4 tank of fuel.
i called 800 number and was told to take a picture of gas gauge and send in. I did, customer service gave me a claim #117383 and said someone would call me between 24-48 hrs., if not call them back. No call, i called back and they told me to address it at a/p when I returned the car. I explained my situation and gave claim number to person at counter upon return. She said she would take care of it. Upon returning home, i checked my e-mail and I was billed full amount with no mention of my claim. To sum up my attempts to resolve the situation "It was a nightmare". Multiple phone calls over several hours, I had to resend my picture of gas gauge, The CS person had to review the claim, consult with her supervisor, etc. The "verdict"--Advantage could not refund me the money because I went through a third party(EasyRentCars)Advantage offered me a 20%discount on my next rental--worthless I am retired and not going need a rental car in next year. Ironic, I was telling my seat mate on way to airport about my issue--He said he quit renting from Advantage./

I stood in line for over 45 minutes to get checked in to rent my car. There were 38 people in line and (3) THREE people at the service counter. Every person took approximately 15 minutes to get checked in!!!
It was exhausting!
Then trying to navigate the return was was even more disastrous!

The car I received had poor brakes. They were squeaking loudly, and I felt unsafe. When I called to ask about service record on the car to find out when the last time the brakes had been serviced, they couldn't tell me. Very frustrating. I also asked to get a replacement car, and they told me to return to the airport the next day, but they could not guarantee me another car. Also quite frustrating. As it turned out, I did go to the airport and they were able to give me another car, but I lost several hours of an already brief vacation.

The first car we got was 5 years old we drove to the hotel and the next day had to return it as we were renting for two weeks and it was jumping ahead when I let of the brake. Customer service was excellent as they replaced it with an almost new car.

The line to receive our car was ridiculous! And then when we did get to the counter they didn't have a car available for us so we had to wait another 40 minutes. The car had a nasty smell on the inside of it and did not smell fresh and clean.

Advantage in Phoenix was the worst rental car company I ever had to deal with. When I arrived at the rental car center, Advantage did not have any rental cars available. Also, at 20 other groups of people were waiting in line at 12 midnite for a rental car with no cars available to rent. I had to rent a car from Dollar rental cars for $114 for 24 hr. rental period. I had to go back to Advantage the next day. They only had diesel cars available which costed me more than $50 in gas as compared to a gas car for the 19 day rental period. The worst rental car experience I ever had.

wanted a intermidiaire and got a minivan with high cost gas! With so much scratches + a breach in winchield!!
The guy at the counter was so unfriendly we arrived at noon and there is no more intermediaire car! Wanted so much to sell us a vus for 10$ more a day...we refused again and again finally he gave us the minivan no extra cost even if we didnot wanted this kind of car because cost more of gas...anyway like I said many times we didnot have a choice!
Usually, we rent cars for almost 20 years, we can choose the cars at the parking lot and they are all nice, clean, like brand new...but not this time! No choice...dirty outside and inside...and full of scratches! Never seen that before ! So much that we took a video to be sure not to miss a spot! But we did, while driving to our hotel we find a star breach in the windchield! Again never experienced it before...again another video was done at our arrival at our hotel to make sure that they didnot try to put that on us. So we were nervous all our vacation that we would have futur problems with the company after drop off . At the drop off the guy was nice and said not to worry but still...hope not to hear about this company.
Finally, they took a deposit of 200$ again first time for us to experience that
So...if we can avoid that company we will in the futur

I had prepaid for the rental. I still waited in line for 50 minutes. The Advantage staff member (Kenny) was not informative. I was very rushed through the process. Nothing was explained! If I don't initial and sign as directed I won't be able to rent the car? I was past an hour into the process by then and did not feel like starting over. I over paid $30.00 for the refueling because I refueled the vehicle before I returned it. The Refuel Purchase Option was not explained! I was just told to initial. I will not deal with Advantage again!

We waited over 3 hours for our vehicle. We learned it was no fault of the very nice ticket counter employees but they did not have enough cars turned in and checked in for them to rent out. They were giving everyone what ever came available the next car. We did end up getting a mid size SUV instead of a full size. It was a little banged up with over 26K miles but it was a good car. I will never use them again though and pay the extra money for a well know rental company. If my husband was here now I would get the video of the massive line at Advantage and Fox and all other car rental lines empty.

Had to go back and revise my contract for I had requested no insurance coverage but it was included in my final contract. Same for roadside assistance. Misunderstood the counter agent on what was being offered. Had to contact them and have it dropped for I did not want this service once I had signed for the rental.

The car was awesome, except for one tire which had a slow leak when we got it. We ended up spending a bunch of money filling it with air everyday and then eventually getting it patched ourselves when easyrentcars told us they would not pay for it, but we could drive (2 hours) to the pickup location to get a different car.

Even though we arrived late at night, and there were not many customers there, we had to wait in line and then at the desk for over an hour. The service was extremely slow, and not explanation was ever given for why it took so long. I would hate think what the experience would have been if it had been crowded.
Also, we were surprised -- not in a good way -- that we were given a diesel car. Diesel is more expensive and not available at every gas station. This should be noted as a possibility in the rental process, just like manual transmission or any other unusual feature.

I was expecting a Toyota Camry.
The Outlander and other options were not an equivalent product.
At High way speeds the Outlander is noisy to a point you had to turn up the radio.
The vehicle was beat up and missing body parts. Upon arrival the car was filthy and I made the center wash the vehicle before I would accept it.
The Outlander had a 50% less fuel economy than the Camry expected.
This is a classic example of bait and switch to the consumer.

Advantage,in my experience has always had well maintained & good cars. The check in person lied to me & said it would be snowing & I needed to upgrade my vehicle. It never snowed by entire time. Deceptive. Also he told me gas was $4 on outside prior to return & got me to pay $56 for a no fill up. Gas on the outside was $2.80. Deceptive. Will never believe reps again.
